- September 13, 1956 : an order signed on behalf of the Head of Government, concerning the emblem of the Kingdom of Tunisia, amending article 2 of the previous order.

- June 1, 1959 : Article 4 of the Tunisian Constitution defined the content of the emblem of the Republic : Freedom, Order, Justice.

- May 30, 1963 : Law 1963-20 was enacted, ordering the content of the Republic as follows : Order, Freedom, Justice.

- September 2, 1989 : Law 1989-72, enacted in the New Era under the leadership of President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali, re-ordering the content of the emblem of the Republic as follows : Freedom, Order, Justice.
