- After the proclamation of the Republic on July 25, 1957 (6 p.m.), a delegation was entrusted with informing the Bey of the decision of the National Constituent Assembly and asking him to abide by the requirements of this decision.
- July 25, 1957 (7 p.m.), the Bey, his wife and his children, were taken to Manouba.
- October 1958 : The Bey and his wife were transferred to another residence in the suburb of Soukra.
- 1960 : The Bey was released. He then went to live in all freedom in an apartment in Lafayette, Tunis, accompanied by his elder son Salaheddine.
- September 30, 1962 : Mohamed Lamine Bey died.
